Guardian Angel School prides itself on having a strong spiritual formation. Our students learn about their faith on a daily basis in their religion classes, and the opportunity to practice their faith by practicing the Cardinal and Theological virtues, by attending Mass weekly on Friday and confessions. Other examples of how we practice our faith are the daily prayer, the Rosary, the Stations of the Cross, and Eucharistic Visits. All students are taught many traditional prayers such as the Memorare, the Act of Contrition, etc.
In the lower grades, our students learn the doctrine and teachings of the Church, Bible Stories, prayers and Baltimore Catechism. In addition, knowledge of the lives of the Saints is an important aspect of religious formation.
In the upper grades, the process of learning our faith continues, but students learn to give reasons behind what we believe making their their faith stronger and solid. Our students learn Christology, Introduction to the Bible, History of the Church, the Sacraments, Apologetics, Mariology and the Sacraments.
During their formation at Guardian Angel School, all new students are invited to receive the sacraments of Baptism, Confession and First Communion.
Our parish offers many of our students the opportunity to participate in an after school program called Guardians of the Altar that promote their faith formation.
